Who pays you late

Customer payment analysis and statutory late-payment interest

Upload your invoice list to see who pays you late and what it costs you — or enter your unpaid invoices by hand. Under Slovenian law a business that pays late owes you statutory default interest and €40 compensation for every late invoice.

Your invoice list

A CSV or XLSX file with one invoice per row: customer, invoice number, amount, due date and payment date. An empty payment date means the invoice is still unpaid. The file is read in your browser and is not sent anywhere.

How the verdict is chosen

Each customer gets one verdict: the first rule that fits, in this order. A customer who fits the first rule and the second one as well gets the first verdict, with “+ Change the terms (prepayment or a shorter deadline)” as a second line under it. You can change the thresholds.

  1. Claim the interest and the compensation — the interest and compensation come to at least € and the weighted delay is at least days.
  2. Change the terms (prepayment or a shorter deadline) — fewer than % of the invoices are paid on time and the weighted delay is at least days; or the delay is getting worse — the last 3 months are slower than the months before by at least days.
  3. Send a reminder, don't claim the interest — there are delays, but the interest and compensation stay under the amount in the first rule, or at least % of the invoices are paid on time: the amount is small compared with the risk to the relationship.
  4. Fine — at least % of the invoices are paid on time.

The weighted delay is the average number of days late, weighted by the invoice amount, so a large late invoice counts for more than a small one. A customer who has paid late but fits none of the rules gets the reminder verdict. Invoices that are not due yet do not count towards the share paid on time or the delay.

For information only, not legal advice. The €40 compensation is owed only between businesses and by public bodies (ZPreZP-1), not by consumers. Check with your accountant or a lawyer before you start recovery.
